FAQ and roadmap

Can I build an app with ChatGPT, Lovable or Bolt?

Yes. Give the tool starter.html and this documentation and describe what you want. The result is a normal web page: host it anywhere on https and check it in the simulator.

Do I need a server?

No. Polls, games, timers and boards work with app.broadcast() and app.storage alone. You need a server only for your own data and accounts — then verify the context token.

Can my app see the video or hear the meeting?

No. The app sees only what the permissions give: the list of participants, who is speaking, the chat, live captions. With media it can use the person's own camera or microphone inside its frame, after they allow it. Meeting streams are never given to apps.

Who sees my app in a meeting?

Each participant who installed it and opened it. The host can open its stage for everyone who has it installed. See the beta note.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. The panel opens over the meeting, the stage takes the screen. Make your page responsive from 320 px wide.

What does it cost?

During the closed beta everything is free — for developers and for people who install apps.

How do I publish my app?

Now — through the ReMeet team: send the address of your remeet.json. Soon — yourself, through a developer account (see below).
