Developer account and publishing
Everything happens in your ReMeet account: remeet.video/developers.
1. Apply
Tell us your name, a contact email, optionally your company and site, and what you want to build. No documents. The ReMeet team reads every application and answers by email and in your notifications. If something is missing, you see the reason and can apply again.
2. Add your app
When the account is approved, paste the https address of your remeet.json and press Add. ReMeet checks the manifest and shows exactly what is wrong if it doesn't pass.
A new app starts in testing: it is visible only to you and the testers you invite. The key from the manifest becomes yours; nobody else can take it.
3. Test it with real people
Invite up to 20 testers by the email of their ReMeet account. They see your app in the marketplace marked «Testing», install it like any app and open it in meetings. Remove a tester, and the app disappears for them, including in meetings.
To show changes, update your pages as usual. If the manifest changed, press Update from manifest, or paste the same address again.
4. Send it to review
Press Send to review. We check:
- the app works and does what its description says;
- it asks only for the permissions it uses;
- the developer name and site are real;
- the pages live on your own https domain.
Then the app is either published (everyone can find it in the marketplace) or comes back with changes requested and a note on what to fix. Fix it and send it again. You get every decision by email.
Updates after publication
| What changed in the manifest | What happens |
|---|---|
| Name, description, picture, version | Applies at once |
| Removed permissions | Applies at once |
| New permissions, camera or microphone | Waits for review. People keep the current version until we approve. |
| Pages moved to another address (domain) | Waits for review, the same way |
While an update waits, your card shows «Update in review». If we decline it, you see the reason, and the current version keeps working.
Changes to the pages themselves (your HTML and JavaScript) never need review: they are yours and go live when you deploy them.
Removing an app
An app in testing can be deleted from your account at any time; people who installed it lose it. A published app is removed by the ReMeet team: write to us.
